Frequently Asked Questions

For beginners registering to the Road Safety Education Program, the course is a minimum duration of thirteen (13) months.
Note that starting from the day you receive your learner's permit at the SAAQ, you must wait ten (10) months before being eligible for the knowledge test and twelve (12) months before passing the road test. During this period, you will complete your theoretical and practical classes.

You have two options for registration: you may register online on our website or you may come visit the office any day between 9 AM and 7 PM.
Following your online registration, an officer you call you to complete the registration. Payments can be done either in-person or by e-transfer to abc.conduire@gmail.com.

The driving school does not require any documents. However, when you will open your file at the SAAQ to obtain your learner's permit, you will require some documents.
Citizens can go without any appointment: you will be asked to bring two pieces of ID, the attestation from the school and the payment for your learner's permit
Non-citizens (Permanent residents, students, workers, refugees): on the day of your appointment, you will be required to bring certain documents.

You can start your course with us one month before your 16th birthday. That will be enough time to complete phase 1. When you will open your file at the SAAQ, you must be 16 years old.

The theory classes are offered in French, English, Hindi, and Tamil. For the practical classes, we have monitors that speak French, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, Tamil, Arab and Turkish.

Absolutely. Students that do the beginners’ program must have their book to all their theory classes. The book follows the program, its modules, and its components. It can be purchased at the driving school at the rate of $40.00 tax included.

When you are done with all first four (4) modules, we will book you a day for your module 5. If that day is not convenient, please contact the driving school office.
The module 5 is divided into two parts: one hour you will revise for the test, with the instructor and one hour will be given for the test itself. There are 24 questions, on which 18 questions must be correct (75% to pass). When you pass, you can get the school’s attestation. If you fail, you will be asked to redo the test. Upon two failures, a fee will be applied to redo tests.

For that, you must call the SAAQ at 514-954-7771. Dial #9 for English and #2 to speak to a representative. It is best to call in the beginning of your phase 1, so you will receive an appointment towards the end of that phase.

For theory classes, there will be a fee of $13.05 + taxes per hour missed or cancelled within 24 hours. If you are late to class, you will miss the entire session of two hours.
For practical classes, there will be a fee of $30.43 + taxes per hour missed or cancelled within 24 hours.
Call the office to know when your next appointment could be. You must clear of those fees before booking any other appointment.

Driving classes on the road are only permittable if the weather conditions allow it. In case of bad conditions, the driving school office may cancel your appointment on the day of. We will let you know by a phone call as soon as possible.
